Makeup Revolution Skincare

Makeup Revolution are a fairly new brand that are dominating the drugstore beauty scene. Although I had only heard good things about the makeup items available from Makeup Revolution, I hadn't heard anything about the skincare products so when I was kindly sent them I was interested to find out what they were like.

The attack anti bacterial face wash (£10) is a foam facial wash which has a dual pump to combine a cleanser and toner in one. It claims to help to prevent spots, blemishes and breakouts and keep excess oil at bay. I personally am not a massive fan of the packaging but the product inside is actually quite good. I do have combination skin so it does make my dry patches a bit drier but I use the defence step of the 2 products to combat this. I wouldn't recommend this if you have dry skin, purely because of the foam. I really think that this has helped to clear up my skin a bit as blemishes and massive breakouts have gone down.

The defence anti bacterial serum and primer (£10) has become one of my favourite products. It acts as both a serum which protects against blemishes as well as a makeup primer. It makes my skin so smooth and I've found it makes my foundation last a little bit longer before it starts to look a bit shiny. I will definitely repurchase this when I run out although I don't think that will be for a while as the tiniest amount covers my face. Again I'm not a fan of the packaging of this but for a product so good, I can deal with it.

Have you tried any items from Makeup Revolution?

Burt's Bees 30th Aniversary

Today marks the 30 Anniversary of Burt's Bees, a brand originally famous for their lip balms but today they have approximately 170 products in their range including body products, skincare and make up.

Burt's Bees is one of my favourite brands, especially as they don't ever test on animals as Burt Shavitz is a massive animal lover! Although I am unfortunately allergic to the lip balms but I really like the shower gels and body butters as well as a facial moisturiser.

Today people can send Burt's Bees a birthday message on Facebook using the hashtag #burtsbeeday. Today at 9pm BST Burt will be doing a live webcast on the Burt's Bees website and will be reading some of the birthday messages on that.

I'd love to know what your favourite Burt's Bees product is.

Total Media

When I first started blogging I had no idea what a PR company or digital agency was. However after several years of blogging on and off I have had the opportunity to work with many amazing companies, Total Media being one of these!

Total Media are a London Based Digital Agency who pride themselves in having over 30 years of experience and have grown with the times. As they are an independent media company and aren't tied to advertising companies, they really do do what's best for the brands that they work with.

They have worked with the brand behind my favourite healthy snacks, Natural Balance, as well as the O2 Arena and The White Company. They work to help brands grow by helping them with advertising campaigns and online promotion. Also, they have experience of launching new brands as well as relaunching pre-existing brands that were not as up to date as they need to be in order to be successful.

Total Media are definitely one of my favourite digital agencies to work with and from what I have seen all of their work they have done for brands is of top quality and has proven to be a success.

What do you think of digital agencies?

September Goals

I hope everyone had a great summer, especially those of you returning to education this month. I thought I would update how I got on with my August goals before telling you about my goals for this month. I must admit I haven't done very well, but I'm taking this as a positive and motivation for this month.

1. Go to the cinema.
2. Start exercising more.
3. Read 4 books.
4. Post on my blog at least 3 times a week.
5. Lose 5lbs.
6. Go out for a meal with my friends. *This is to be arranged
7. Get some of my photos printed.
8. Write the first draft of my personal statement. *This is half done, well sort of anyway.
9. Meet up with friends more.
10. Order my provisional licence.

For September I'm not going to set 10 goals just 6 as these are goals that I really want to achieve.

1. Make some decisions about what I want to do after sixth form. I currently have no idea.

2. Comment on blog posts more often.

3. Post 2 times a week on my blog (I think this is more manageable!).

4. Try to save more money.

5. Get a job. I know I posted a month ago about my first job but they are only a seasonal company so after the summer holidays end, they close. I also know that this goal is out of my control really but I'm hoping I manage to get myself a job.

6. Have a massive sort out of my bedroom.

I'd love to know what some of your goals are for September!
