Born Lippy Lipbalms

The Body Shop born lippy lipbalms aren't spoken about much on blogs so after only reading a couple of reviews last year I bought a pack of these on a whim. I was at an outlet shop and a gift set of 4 lipbalms was selling for £4.80 except when I got to the till they were only £2.80!

I already owned one of the lipbalms, the raspberry one, but never really tried it until now. The 5 scents I have are raspberry, pashionberry, strawberry, watermelon and guava.

The lipbalms are a really nice consistency and they smell lovely when they are on the lips. You do need a fair amount for the product to cover the lips as it is very thin and doesn't spread very well. They are not the kind of lipbalm you would put on extremely dry lips as this is the kind of thing you would use to keep lips hydrated but doesn't hydrate them itself.

I would highly recommend these as they smell so good! My favorites are strawberry, raspberry and passionberry. The other 2 do not smell very pleasant but do the same job as the others.
These retail for £2 each which I think is a really good price and if I ever run out of these (which I doubt I will) I would repurchase.

What lip balms are your favorites?

  1. I know the colours are amazing. The colour does not translate on the lips though it turns into like a clear balm :) xo

  2. I love these little lip balms! I always put them on at night on top of vasaline rose because I don't really like the smell or the taste of it. So these make everything taste so much better :)

  4. These are really good especially for people who are allergic to petroleum. These balms do not contain any petroleum at all. I love them and i always buy them as gifts for my friends.....xx Good purchase and a great deal @£2.80

    1. I completely agree with you. I am desperate to try the chocomania lip butter but think I have enough lip butters to last me a lifetime. I have a post on the Hemp hand cream coming up this week too :) xo

    1. They only really work on already conditioned lips. I would say they would be okay for the summer :) xo

    1. The scents are amazing. Unfortunately none of the shades show up so they all come out as clear ! xo

  9. my fave lip balm is Carmex but these look gorgeous :) I love the thought of all those different scents. It's a shame they come out colourless though :) I think a little tint would be nice xx

    1. I have loads of Carmex but went off it as it was just sitting on the surface of my lips and wasn't doing anything. I would love them to be slightly tinted too :) xo

  11. I like these but find it annoying that it transfers as a clear lip gloss.

    1. It is a bit annoying but at least they can be used underneath lipstick just to moisturise the lips :) xo
