Things I'm Loving: Casual Tees, Industrial Boots & Handbags

I love basic t-shirts and the Paradise Tee and the Conversational Cat Tee are perfect casual t-shirts. I will definitely be picking these tops up as they will be perfect with a pair of jeans for sixth form. These are both from Topshop who I feel like are really at the top of their game this season.

I'm in love with the Eyelash Tee which is also from Topshop. I feel like this could be worn for both casual and formal occasions and as I have a few events coming up I will be having a look for this next time I'm in store. Another plus point is that it's only £16 which I think is great for such a detailed top.

I also really like the Chiffon Sleeve Shirt which is a perfect effortless formal top. I love the fact the buttons are concealed which makes the shirt more feminine especially as the top is one colour. At £32 I do think that it's a bit expensive however it's such a timeless piece and a great wardrobe staple.

How cute are these scallop shorts? They're pale blue and scalloped, these need no explanation! I feel these would be perfect for summer with basically any top. They could easily be dressed up with a black blazer for an evening meal or could be dressed down with a pair of converse and a cami during the day.

Dr Martens are shoes that I am seeing everywhere at the moment. Although I obviously love the look of the floral Dr Martens, you can't beat a pair of the industrial boots! Although they aren't the most appropriate shoes for the summer, the weather during summer in the UK isn't the best so these would be great on a colder day with a pair of jeans and a cardigan or even on a warmer days with a white tee. They are really heavy duty as well so you can guarantee they will last you for years.

This Dusty Pink Satchel from Dorothy Perkins is something I have been looking at for a while. I need a new bag for sixth form and have been thinking about getting this one but I'm not sure if it will fit all my work in it. I love the colour of it so much though so will have to pop in store to have a look how big it is. They also have other handbags I'm considering - which do you like?

I'd love to know what clothing items you are loving at the moment.

Clique Magazine

Clique is an amazing new magazine. No it's not JUST another magazine, its a free, fully interactive magazine. I know that so many people don't buy magazines anymore as they can find the information, real time on the internet so Clique is perfect for those people as it is free and is delivered straight to your door. You can't beat flicking through a magazine and that's something that the internet won't be able to replace.

Clique is fully interactive so basically if you download the free Clique app, which is available from the iTunes Store and Google Play Store, you can 'scan' a specific picture and then you will automatically be taken to a website. For example if you scan an item of clothing or jewellery like the items below, the app will take you to the website where you can buy the item. There are sometimes articles that can be scanned too if there is more of the article online. I really like this idea however the only slight niggle I have about it is that it needs to be really light for the camera to pick up the picture so its almost impossible once it's dark as I haven't yet been able to make it work with artificial light.

I really love Clique magazine plus it has a massive beauty section unlike most magazines which are mainly fashion based. Clique teamed up with designer Katie Eary to create a gorgeous leopard print t-shirt which I have been wearing so much. The t-shirt is £35 which may seem like a lot however Katie Eary also have very similar leopard print t-shirts for £215 so it's definitely a bargain. If you want to have a look at the t-shirt it can be found here.

As I mentioned before Clique magazine is completely free and you can sign up to the magazine here where you can find out a bit more about the magazine.

I'd love to know if you are going to subscribe to Clique or if you are already subscribed.

Beauty & Fashion Wishlist #01

I love making wishlist posts and as it's my birthday tomorrow so I thought that now was as good a time as any to write a little wishlist. I mainly get money for my birthday so might buy a couple of things from my wishlist with it.

The Caleena bow leather matinee purse from Ted Baker is absolutely beautiful and it's something that I think any girl would love!  Hopefully it's something that I will own in the future, aka when I can part with £75 for a purse ouch!

I don't own anything from Pandora (I know, shock horror!) but I love the look of the Pink Enamel Twist Ring which is meant to be a stacking ring and also the February Birth Stone Ring (not in the picture, sorry). Although I struggle to spell February, I love my birth stone, amethyst, so think this would be perfect for me.

The Urban Decay Naked Lipglosses are something that I ave been intrigued by since the release and after seeing swatches on blogs I decided that the shades I would love are Lovechild (left) and Streak (right). I still haven't tried any Urban Decay make up so might have to give in any buy myself these although at £14 they aren't cheap.

Real Technique brushes are another thing that I am yet to buy, it hasn't been easy giving in to the hype surrounding them however I felt like I have enough brushes and don't need anymore. After seeing the Real Technique Blush Brush the other day I have decided that I need it, after all I don't have many blush brushes. It's under £6 in Asda too which is another good reason to get it (right?).

I don't often get sucked in by bags but I love the Double Zip Holdall in grey from Topshop, I think it is the perfect size for everyday use (when I'm not at school obviously) and I love the shape and colour of it. I have some Topshop vouchers I still need to spend so might put them towards this bag.

Another thing on my wishlist is the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette and whilst I would never pay that much for an eyeshadow palette, I can still oogle it right?

I NEED some new shoes and have my eye on MAX Heavy Sole Loafers from Topshop and after reading reviews on them I think they were made for me. I have extremely narrow feet so can't normally get shoes without straps and a lot of people have said these shoes are too narrow which means they should fit me perfectly, yay! It's almost inevitable that I'm going to get these so I will let you know how I get on with them!

What's on your wishlist?

Christmas Jumpers

Christmas jumpers have become somewhat more popular and have become a tradition within many families. Personally I have never had a Christmas jumper before but am definitely getting one this year, partly because my sixth form are having a Christmas jumper day next week. After having a long look online I am stuck to decide between hundreds (slight exaggeration) of jumpers that I love! Here are a few of my favourites.

(1,2,3)
1. I love this Fairisle robin jumper from Asda. In case you haven't noticed from previous posts I love Asda clothes, I think they are amazing quality and they always have really on trend pieces. I think this jumper is a lovely and as it's only £14 its really affordable.

2. Another robin. Another jumper from Asda. I love bird jumpers and think this would be okay to wear all winter. It's only £16 so you can't really go wrong, plus it's going to keep you extra warm and cosy.

3. This gorgeous polar bear jumper from Next is slightly more expensive at £32 however I don't think its exclusively a Christmas jumper and can be worn all winter instead of just over the festive period. Next clothing is always wonderful quality so it's definitely worth the money.
(4,5,6)

4. Reindeer's or stags are my favourite thing to have on jumpers. I think this really basic jumper is lovely if you want a subtle festive jumper. Its £16.99 from Missguided.

5. This is probably my favourite jumper of the bunch. It's a bit more out there than the others but I think this would be a great Christmas day jumper! I'm definitely considering buying this one. Its £16.99 and from Missguided.

6. I think this is more of a tunic than a jumper but really love the print. Next have really classy Christmas jumpers so if you don't want a typical 'tacky' one then Next is the place to go! This one is £35 but like I said it's more of a tunic than a jumper so the higher price is understandable.

(7,8,9)

7. I love the colour of this jumper from Misguided, I'm a huge fan of marled jumpers and think they make an outfit more interesting. I would personally wear this all winter as it isn't really a Christmas jumper but think it would be lovely to wear to go Christmas shopping or for a casual meal.

8. I love gingerbread men and this jumper from Topshop makes me want to bake some! You can't really get any cuter than this jumper though and I really do love it. I don't think I could part with £42 to buy it, but I know that some people take this Christmas jumper thing very seriously and would be happy to spend that much!

9. This jumper is from Topshop and I think the print is lovely and really unique as I haven't seen any holly jumpers anywhere. As much as I love this I do think it is a bit expensive at £50.

Have you got a Christmas jumper for this year?

Collective Haul

Hi everyone! Some of you may know that last week I started sixth form which meant over the summer I have had the excuse to shop for now clothes as we no longer have to wear uniform. I realised that I was running pretty low on clothes so they were my main priority when shopping. These things weren't all bought at the same time but over the space of about a month. I thought i'd show you what I got because I love reading haul posts.

This jumper is from George at Asda. Lately I think that their items have become much better quality and I think some of the things they currently have in are similar to those in Topshop and H&M and even though they have upped there prices, they are still much more affordable than the favourite high street stores. This jumper is so cosy and only cost £14! I also bought 2 basic t-shirts and a blue/grey hoody from George but thought they were a bit boring to show.

The backpack is from Asos and cost £20. No, its not the nicest looking thing but for sixth form I wanted a rucksack that will fit everything in it and that is well made so it doesn't break when a little bit of weight is put in it.

I have never really taken much notice of dorothy perkins before but when I was on a hunt for new jeans I decided to have a look what they had. Luckily I did because I managed to find 2 pairs that fit me really well. The pair on the left are straight legged and are really thick denim which I really like. They cost £25 which is great considering how good quality they are.

The second pair are skinny but are much thinner denim which I don't like as much but they cost £15!

I was out looking for shoes on bank holiday monday and I always really struggle finding shoes I like or that fit so I wasn't expecting to come home with any. I found these white reebok's and I know everyone hates reeboks and think they're 'chavvy' or whatever but I'd rather wear these and have dry feet in the winter than be wearing something more stylish and getting wet, blistered feet. As it was the bank holiday the shop was having a 25% off everything offer and as these were already reduced they only cost me £26.

Now when I saw these I loved them. Purple, blue and stars with a bit of ribbon at the back, I fell in love. I haven't actually worn them yet so can't comment on what I actually think of them but I think i'll be wearing them with skinny jeans and a chunky jumper in the winter. They are from the Adidas Neo range and I managed to get them for £24 and they were originally £65.

These are a bit random but I got a Charles Worthington salt spray to see if it will actually do anything to my hair which I highly doubt it will, but its worth a go.

I also got these papermate pens from Asda and they are officially my new favourite pens, I am definitely going to go back for another pack. You get 10 different colours and they are so lovely to write with. They will be great for revision and i've already started using them in my blogging notebook!

Lastly I got the first 2 books in the Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld after reading the sample of them on the kindle version and really liking them. I'm really looking forward to reading the whole things and if you'd like me to do a book review on here please let me know.

Have you bought anything lately?

Autumn Outfit Ideas

Now the weather is supposed to start getting cooler and the autumn/winter clothes are in shops I thought this would be a good time to do an autumn outfit ideas kind of post. I love browsing websites looking for clothes so thought I would share some of the pieces I am loving. I think these outfits would also be great to wear if you are holidaying in the UK.

When I think of Autumn I sort of think of biker's and their leather jackets. I love this one from Topshop and think it's a great staple piece to have. I personally think that a light blue or olive green top looks great with leather jackets and love this speckled blue one from George at Asda. I know going all black isn't something everyone loves but I have put Topshop Leigh black jeans above. Teamed with some Topshop Mighty boots, I think this is a perfect autumn outfit.

For a really cold autumn day I love body warmers/gilets. I love this one from George at Asda but for some reason they only have a blue one online when they have a burgundy coloured one in stores. I think either colour works well but I do prefer the burgundy one. I would wear this with a white, grey or black long sleeved top like this one from Marks and Spencer. For bottoms I would say riding pants are a good idea as they are thick so will keep you warm and they also look great with these Ugg's which I would have as footwear. This outfit would be perfect if you are going for a long walk which wouldn't be complete without visiting a tea room.

I love this dress from Ark and think that it would look lovely with this cardiganBig, chunky knits are my favourite items in the autumn/winter months so I couldn't not include one. I love the look of brown ankle boots with dresses so think these ones from Ark are lovely. This would be perfect for a day that isn't too cold or for a meal out.

Please let me know if you like this kind of post or not.

Hoobynoo World Phoenix Necklace

Hoobynoo World offers quirky and high quality jewellery pieces such as acrylic necklaces, felt brooches, hair accessories, iPhone cases and much more, all of which are handmade. All items from Hoobynoo world would make great gifts for people of any age and if your buying for someone who 'has everything' they definitely won't have anything like the necklaces. Every character illustration is original and unique and the characters also come with a personality profile.

I was very kindly sent a phoenix necklace to write about on here. As soon as I handled the necklace I knew it was extremely good quality. The acrylic is very thick so isn't going to snap and the shape is securely attached to a silver chain on both sides. The great thing about this is it could be worn casually or could be worn as a statement piece.

For a handmade item of this quality I would expect to pay over £20 but guess how much this sells for?.......only £12.50 which is a bargain when you think about how much work must have gone into making this. This is actually a larger necklace so is more expensive than some of the others. Another great thing about Hoobynoo world is quality is everything. After speaking to Chiara, the owner of Hoobynoo world I know that if an item is short of perfect even just slightly she won't sell it, which is great because you know you are always going to get a perfect piece.

I would definitely buy from Hoobynoo World in the future as they really do have something for everyone. You can find Hoobynoo World items in Liberty's or online here.

Have you tried anything from Hoobynoo world?

Holiday

I love this outfit. It is something I wouldn't just wear on holiday but in this country on a warm day. I think that denim jackets always look good with girly dresses and a brown bag so I really love the scalloped edged satchel from Asos. For the summer I also love dainty necklaces!

Party

For my party look I wasn't quite sure what look I wanted to go for. In the end I decided on something edgy but fun. I think the leather jacket, boots and clutch are the edgy and the bright dress and lipstick and cute mustache watch are the fun!
